1 Executive Modernization Brief
Decisions, findings, risks, priorities, and recommended direction.
Make a defensible modernization decision before committing major budget, platforms, or delivery teams.
In four focused weeks, Oak Analytics assesses one defined data ecosystem, recommends a target architecture, prioritizes modernization work, and gives leadership a practical 90-day action plan.
The recommendation may include modernizing, consolidating, delaying, or retaining existing technology. Oak Analytics remains platform- and vendor-independent.
Multiple technologies or clouds may be included when they support the same modernization decision. Separately governed platforms, unrelated programs, acquired organizations, or additional business units require a separate scope.
Decisions, findings, risks, priorities, and recommended direction.
Platforms, workloads, dependencies, technical debt, operating gaps, and material risks.
Recommended platform roles, integration patterns, governance principles, security boundaries, and major architecture decisions.
Workstreams, migration waves, dependencies, decision gates, sequencing, and suggested ownership.
Immediate actions, leadership decisions, resources, early wins, and the first implementation milestone.
Confirm business priorities, scope, constraints, stakeholders, success criteria, and the decisions leadership must make.
Output: Agreed objectives, decision criteria, platform inventory, and discovery findings.
Evaluate the current architecture, workloads, dependencies, risks, governance, cost drivers, and operating constraints.
Output: Validated current-state findings and material gaps.
Compare viable options, define the target architecture, document tradeoffs, and determine what should be retained, improved, replaced, migrated, or retired.
Output: Recommended target state and modernization direction.
Prioritize workstreams, sequence modernization waves, define the first 90 days, and align leadership around the recommended path.
Output: Executive Blueprint, roadmap, 90-day plan, and decision presentation.
Every Blueprint follows the same delivery method. The emphasis changes according to the modernization decision and the risks facing the organization.
Legacy platforms, cloud strategy, architecture inconsistency, workload placement, dependencies, and migration sequencing.
Reporting reliability, reconciliation, ownership, lineage, data quality, controls, and decision confidence.
Platform sprawl, duplicate capabilities, workload efficiency, licensing considerations, and operational burden.
Data foundations, governance, security, use-case feasibility, architectural dependencies, and practical readiness for AI adoption.

Oak Analytics generally requires documentation, interviews, guided walkthroughs, exports, or read-only access. Administrative access, production write permissions, and sensitive record-level data are not expected.
The standard Blueprint does not include:
A clear decision first. Delivery follows only when it makes sense.
The fixed-scope Blueprint defines the direction, target architecture, priorities, and initial execution plan.
If useful, Oak Analytics can separately scope implementation support or architecture leadership against the approved roadmap.
Optional advisory support can help leadership review emerging decisions, maintain architecture alignment, and oversee delivery risk.
Implementation and advisory support are optional follow-on relationships and are not included in the standard Blueprint.
No. Oak Analytics evaluates the decision in the context of the organization's needs, constraints, skills, and existing investments.
No. It is a representative, risk-based assessment of one defined data ecosystem and modernization decision.
Implementation is not included in the Blueprint. If there is a fit, implementation support or architecture leadership can be scoped separately after leadership approves the direction.
Documentation, stakeholder interviews, guided walkthroughs, exports, and read-only access are usually sufficient. Administrative access and production write permissions are not expected.
Oak Analytics will define a custom scope when the engagement includes multiple business units, unrelated platforms, more than 10 priority workloads, or additional discovery and validation requirements.
The Blueprint is provided for a fixed fee based on ecosystem complexity, stakeholder count, workload scope, and the level of analysis required.
Oak Analytics will identify evidence gaps and document resulting assumptions. Material stakeholder or access delays may affect the delivery schedule.
In a 30-minute conversation, we will identify the decision your organization needs to make, determine whether the Blueprint is a fit, and outline an appropriate assessment scope.
